 We could:

 * offer to adopt netifaces
 * unilaterally fork it
 * re-implement the subset of it that we need within Tahoe-LAFS (or more
 likely, in new library Tahoe-LAFS can depend on, so Tahoe-LAFS itself
 doesn't need to be come a binary package)
 * drop the automatic address assignment behavior from Tahoe-LAFS
 * ... ?
