[volunteergrid2-l] Status of IF3-1

I thought I should send out an update on the ongoing saga of my node,
if3-1. Whatever caused the black smoke to come out of my computer also
took out the mother board and the drives I had the Tahoe data stored on.
I found out about the mother board rather quickly. The new server
came in while I was on a business trip. When I got home from the
business trip I found out about the dead drives.

Long story short, the computer is setup and powered on but I am waiting
for the new drives for the Tahoe data store to come in. I hope they
will be here in the next day or two.

Because the drives that hosted the Tahoe data were fried, I lost all of
the Tahoe data hosted on my node. You will need to rebuild your shares
as my server will not have any of your data when I install the new
drives. Question on this: do I need to change my furl to aid in
rebuilding your shares?

I guess the good news in all of this is that this is great validation
for Tahoe. RAID didn't save my data. Tahoe would have if I was
actively using it. Major bummer due to my procrastination.

Anyway, I will let you know when the Tahoe shares are online. Thanks
for your patience.

Brad
