As to your question, I'm not aware of anything good but inexpensive,
particularly since for volunteergrid2 we've established a policy that sets a
minimum storage server node size at 500 GB.  I think any sort of dedicated
server with that much storage available will be pretty pricey -- though I'd
love to be wrong.

What most of us are doing is simply hosting our nodes at home, on our home
network connections and with old hardware that we have around.  I don't know
if that approach will work for you.

I suggest that a good place for you to start figuring out how you want to go
about participating is to take a look at the volunteergrid2 policies on the
