One suggestion.  Can you set up another node (with storage server disabled)
whose tub port is firewalled and make that node's welcome page accessible
but protected behind a proxy?

The reason it's a good idea to set up a poorly-connected node like that is
because then any other poorly-connected nodes will show as red.  The way
Tahoe works is that if either one of a pair of nodes can reach the other,
then they have bidirectional communication.  But we really want all nodes to
be fully visible, so to verify that we need to check it from a node that is
not fully visible.  I'm not sure if I explained that well.

Not huge, but it would be nice.  What's the obstacle?  A self-signed cert
should be fine.
