I think the Uptime is not an issue. Over the last 8 years I have had an
uptime of about 99%. Downtime was mainly due to moving or failures of my
ISP.

It is a benefit mainly for me... since you can't be much more secure (in
terms of "common cause") than on another continent. I've seen it on the
map and was not sure if it was intentional.
If there is interest, I could try to persuade some more people here to join.

Also: Do I see this right that the space ratio is about 2:1 (15/7)?
At the moment, I have only about 300GB to share on my server (this
should change soon). Is this a problem?
