Caution: Directories which you create by "tahoe mkdir tahoe:<name>"
are contained in this directory, yes.
However, if you create other aliases by the create-alias command,
you would need to link them manually into your root directory
if you want the behavior which you describe above. If you do not,
your data will be gone some day.
The client could, of course, try to keep track of the directories
and aliases which you create, but that would only obfuscate
the fact that the grid has no notion of your identity.
There may also be cases where you decide not to link directory
entries or even not to store them on your computer at all, for security
reasons for example, or because the personal network
in which you share files simply does not have a top node which is
allowed to read everything.
