[volunteergrid2-l] Stats gatherer suddenly stopped working

Well, the "some obsure reason" seems to have been a hard system reset 
(probably a power failure... I'm 600 km away from the server, so I can 
only guess) - the syslog looks completely normal, then nothing for 5 
minutes, then the bootup sequence (including ext4 recovery...) :-O
