As presently implemented, Tahoe does require more trust than Tor or
remailers. Not only does uptime need to be good, but we also need admins
who will keep their nodes up to date, monitor space available and track
their consumption against their donation. We also need admins not to do
malicious things like silently deleting lots of file shares. When the grid
is small, those sorts of misbehaviors are easily managed, but as it gets
bigger they get harder to address.
