    33On my Debian Squeeze installation, the python-pycryptopp package is of version 0.5.17-1+b1 satisfying the dependency before davidsarah's change but not after. Finding this out, I of course tried uninstalling the python-pycryptopp Debian package and rebuild a pristine Tahoe 1.8.2 source tree. The failing test now happily passes!

     5About the kernel patch. I'm reluctant to try this since I have no physical access to the machine and rely on it being up stably.
