Welcome to The Least-Authority File System
Tahoe-LAFS is a Free and Open cloud storage system. It distributes your data across multiple servers. Even if some of the servers fail or are taken over by an attacker, the entire filesystem continues to function correctly, including preservation of your privacy and security.
A one-page summary explains the unique properties of this system.
Get Started
- Download 1.9.1 in various formats
- Use the quickstart instructions to download and run Tahoe-LAFS on your own computer.
- Go to the Dev page to get source code, and start hacking on Tahoe-LAFS.
Get Involved
- The tahoe-dev mailing list is the community forum.
- The tahoe-announce mailing list is a low-volume mailing list for announcements. Every few months we announce a new release. If we find a secure flaw which threatens your data we'll announce that here, too.
- The Tahoe-LAFS Weekly News is the community newsletter.
