Per http://allmydata.org/trac/tahoe/ticket/786#comment:4 , #768 was  
also trying to repair a file, and it was probably a file that was  
currently unrecoverable (due to the gateway node being so newly  
started that it hadn't yet established connections ot the introducer  
and then to servers).
