[volunteergrid2-l] Making our web-facing gateways NOT a rope around our necks

I'm hoping we can do the load balancing by redirecting requests to other
gateways. If that's the way it works, we can do the load balancing on my
server, and the bandwidth load for redirecting won't be too expensive.
Am I on the right track with that?
