Hello everyone
I've been watching my server storage statistics for some time now. And I
see that the cycle times are quite long. Here is an example:
Last complete cycle (which took 95 minutes and finished 10 hours ago)
recovered: 0 shares, 54 buckets (0 mutable / 0 immutable), 221.18 kB (0
B / 0 B) and saw a total of 28554 shares, 28048 buckets (208 mutable /
27786 immutable), 37.96 GB (1.79 MB / 37.96 GB)
95minutes for just 37.96GB of data. That's quite some time! That's 5700
seconds to check 28k shares. If I interpolate this a bit (assuming about
linear growth of shares with used space) I see that with about 300GB of
data my server would only be checking that stuff the whole day long.
Is it normal, that the checks take that long? Can I speed this up? Will
there be problems, if the check takes longer than the time between two
checks?
best regards
Marco
