I was not able to get Dokan SSHFS to work at all with Tahoe's SFTP, apparently due to the SharpSSH library it uses (which was ​last updated in 2007) having interoperability problems with many servers. See ​Dokan ticket 21. In ​this blog post, the maintainer of Dokan says that:

I have two troubles on the development of Dokan SSHFS.

The first is SSH authentication issue. Dokan SSHFS has issues around network connection because it depends on SharpSSH library and there are some issues in that library. And I can’t fix the issues.

The second is Explorer extensions. I don’t have building environment of those extension libraries, so I can’t provide any updated installer.

I wish I could provide a good SSHFS application in the future.

I'm closing this ticket as wontfix; it can be reopened if the interoperability of Dokan SSHFS improves.

I will open another ticket about using Dokan via pyfilesystem, which looks more promising.
