trac@tahoe-lafs:~/projects/tahoe-lafs/log$ grep -v 'DEBUG:' trac.log |wc --bytes
95580152

So disabling DEBUG: logging (and removing the existing DEBUG: entries) would reduce the size of the file from 1.5 GB to 95 MB.
