wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to undo nevow's exception rendering?

Description
so when an exception occurs in a nevow-served page, nevow helpfully formats that exception for display in a browser, with a whole slew of css to accompany it.
when reporting a failure, e.g. on the command line, it would be nice to be able to print the exception described therein in a succinct manner - i.e. one not including printing the entire source of the page intended for a browser.
hence for example a parser capable of undoing all the formatting that nevow helpfully adds might be a strategy
