Description
This points to a flaw either in the install.html or in the hosting of -SUMO tarballs or in the manufacture of -SUMO tarballs.
Honestly, although I liked the idea of the -SUMO tarballs when we came up with them, I don't want to spend the time maintaining them, so I would be just as happy to remove mention of them from the install.html . That would also simplify the install.html.

Ok, let's make -SUMO tarballs be part of the "more installation details" page -- http://allmydata.org/trac/tahoe/wiki/InstallDetails -- and not the install.html -- http://allmydata.org/source/tahoe/trunk/docs/install.html .
Please submit a patch that does this!

- Status changed from new to assigned
I have submitted a patch that removes the mention of the -sumo method from the install.html inside the source, and the InstallDetails page on the wiki already talks about the -sumo method being used for the "desert island" build scenario.

- Resolution set to fixed
- Status changed from assigned to closed
I think it would be fine to remove the mention of them from the install.html, or at least be sure to mention that they are meant for people that want to do a 'desert island' build, which was why they were created in the first place.
