#433 new defect
mailing list archives are threaded weirdly
Reported by: | warner | Owned by: | zandr |

Description
http://allmydata.org/pipermail/tahoe-dev/2008-May/thread.html shows a number of messages in a hierarchy that suggests one is a response to another, when in fact the messages are unrelated. In particular the "announcing the tahoe-announce list" message is *not* a response to "[ANN] Foolscap-0.2.6 Released". I checked the headers fo the tahoe-announce message and there is not a In-Reply-To: or References: header at all. My local MUA does not show these messages as being related.
I think that pipermail is doing something screwy. This is a minor thing, but Zandr, I know you did some work recently with mailing-list archive displayers, could you take a look at it? I usually like pipermail (clean, fast, googlable, easy to follow threads, no javascript), but if you've got something else that you like better, feel free to switch us over to it.

- Keywords pipermail archive added
- Version set to n/a
Zandr is trying out the "lurker" mail-archive tool, and it looks nice.
